Terms of service

These are the terms for using numberz. They are short because the service is simple: you give it a web address, it tells you what it found.

What the service is

numberz fetches a page you name and reports on what it finds, and provides a set of tools for looking things up and converting things. The report is an automated reading of one page at one moment. It is information, not advice, and it can be wrong — a site can change between one fetch and the next, and a check can be fooled. Decisions you make from it are yours.

Free and paid use

Running a report and using the tools is free and does not need an account. An account keeps your reports. A paid plan raises the number of reports you can run each month and opens the JSON API. What each plan includes and costs is on the pricing page; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Plans are billed for a month or a year in advance and do not renew automatically — when a period ends, the account returns to the free plan unless you buy another.

Refunds

If something is wrong with what you bought, email info@monetific.com within fourteen days and we will put it right or refund it. A refund goes back by the method you paid with, and the plan ends when the refund is issued.

What you may not do

• Point the service at systems you are not entitled to examine. It fetches pages the way a browser does, but a request is still a request, and you are responsible for where you send it.
• Use the tools or the API to overload or attack anyone, ours included.
• Share an API key, or use one to let others exceed the limits of a plan.
• Scrape the site, or resell reports as if they were your own.

We can suspend or close an account that does any of these. If a paid plan is closed for this reason, the unused part is not refunded.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password and any API keys to yourself. Two-factor sign-in is available and worth turning on. You can delete your reports and revoke your keys at any time, and you can ask for the account to be deleted.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as it is. We aim to keep it running, and we back it up, but we do not promise it will always be available or always be right. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using it or being unable to; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Privacy

What we collect and why is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
